Title: Do you think supplements are effective?
Post by: theAdviserMe on December 17, 2008, 10:32:09 PM
I am person who is taking some food supplements everyday and based on how I feel I think they are giving me a lot of healthy benefits. However, I always read some scientific studies establishing to the contrary.

Do you believe that food supplements are really effective as they claimed or advertised to be?  :cheer:

supplements are what the name means, supplements, they are used for making up what u cant catch up to in the daily diet (like trying to eat 2g of protein pre lb of body weight) and while working hard in the gym your body is always ready to use some protein for a boost sometimes, throw in some L-glutamine and u have a nice recovery shake. reguardless, they deffinatley help alot, u will notice a huge difference in the way u feel even just after one month of using them. they also work for flushing the systems and keeping things running smoothly inside the body, as well as making things look good on the outside, your hair, nails, skin, and of course your muscles will all benefit from using supplements they improve your overall health. just follow the instructions on the labels, though, as some can cause serious side effects if not taken properly, and remember its your body you have it for life it is wise to research anything before u use it, if u cant find an answer your comfortable with, consult your physician(s)

Theres atleast a handful of supplements that have had Clinical Studies showing their effectivness. Almost all Gaspari product have some sort of studie comparing there product to similar products.

Mass FX has a clinical study showing great results, 800% increase in strength over placebo group, 134% increase in Mass, large increases in both testosterone and free testosterone all with no negative health markers. We have more information on our website but its definitly a product proven safe and effective.

U should be very careful with supplements:
Ask yourself for what purpose do you need these supplements and then consider your options.

basically, that depends on the supplement product itself, the ratings, reviews and testimonies of those who already tried it. as for me, i believe that supplements really helped a lot.

While taking supplements we should consult someone who has good knowledge about it. Because they play an important role on overall health.

Only a few of them are.  Most are a complete waste of money.

Even the supplements that do work don't really justify the cost and some have side effects or you continually have to use them to see the slight benefit.  So no pretty much most supplements aren't worth it.

when taking food supplements, you have to take care. since they are not 100% natural (i.e. there is a percentage of chemicals in there), then you shall be aware of the side effects. I'm not saying that food supplements are harmful. all what I'm saying is that you shall take them after consulting a doctor, in order to avoid any wrongs.

Any thoughts on NO Explode as a supplement.  I am thinking about giving this a shot since everyone seems to be using it and its reasonably priced.  If you have used it please let me know.

Yes, I think they are effective.  Supplements are there to help supply the body with the right amount of vitamins and nutrients needed to help us stay fit. Like in body and muscle building, it is not enough that you go to the gym and lift weight. There are some supplements that play important roles. Creatine monohydrate supplements (http://www.vitaminsupplementer.com/healthy-muscles/) should be consider if you want to develop a good muscle tone as it is one of the best known body building supplements.

I think there are a lot of supplements that are obviously garbage, so it's tough to make such a sweeping statement. Having said that, there are supplements that do in fact work (and work like gangbusters).

Do your homework before buying anything!

Muscles need to be supplied proper amount of proteins if you want to make them big and solid. While fats can only increase the mass, proteins are more effective in giving you toned shape at the same time strengthening and increasing the volume. Proteins need to be taken on a daily basis so that you keep on getting the proper diet without any interruption

vitamins, minerals and other supplements aren't regulated in the same way as prescription drugs. If you are going to use vitamins and supplements make sure that you investigate possible benefits as well as potential side effects than can occur.

Pay attention to brand names and the ingredients listed as being contained in any product. Make sure that you follow the instructions on the bottle and don't ingest more than what is suggested. If you believe that a supplement or product is causing adverse effects, it would be wise to cease taking it and contact your doctor or the manufacturer.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, use extreme caution when adding supplements to your diet. Talk with your physician or pharmacist if you have a chronic mental or physical health condition.

Just eat 300-500 calories over maintenance each day, maybe take some protein powder to help you reach that. Pretty much every supplement will have a side effect, however minimal it might be.

Of course. Instead of opening your mouth and chew some foods, in food supplements its all in the tablets. All the nutrients we look for in the food is in there. Why you had some doubts?

I think the supplements very effective , but it depend upon the quality and using of the supplements .
The supplements would give you effective result if it used according to the doctor or physician prescription..

Yes I do believe it, but you should always keep track of your daily allowance so you don't overdo it. Some of the best nutrients can cause damage if you take in too much on a regular basis.
