Depending on your goals you should take in at a bare minimum of 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight and 2 grams for mass.  Protein alone will not make you grow as you need carbs and enough calories a day .  There are many sources of protein from pill to powder to ready to drink shakes.  you also have different forms such as Whey , Beef and Soy , ect. As a bodybuilder or weightlifter I would avoid Soy as it has been shown to raise estrogen levels in males.

I purchase all my protein at www. lowcostvitamins.net as they are cheap and fast delivery, plus you can see if its in stock before you order. I also order supplements from www.bodyandfitness.com.  Doesnt matter where you get your protein from just make sure you get it and start using it to make real gains .

That depends on what other ingredients are in it. I think natural protein from real foods is the healthiest way to go.
